Welcome to our “Grand Opening” of Sonny Cantu Photography. This is a new venture and a continuation at the same time. How is that possible? I am the owner and sole photographer for over five years of Gametime Photography (GTP). My wife Michelle is the Operation Director and handles everything behind the scene. Our roles are quite opposite. I am inconspicuously taking photos on the field, editing and posting your images, and processing your orders. Michelle is the face and voice of GTP! When you call, she is usually on the other end of the line. She also handles the reservations and replies to most of your emails. None of this is possible without her.

My style with action photography will partly transition into your portrait sessions. We do not expect children to sit still in several poses for 30 minutes much less up to 90 minutes. This is where experience with youth sports, as well as our own young children, helps tremendously. We will also throw in some patience and playfulness to get the best out of your session. This goes for our Senior models, as well. We are ready to capture you being yourself, but if you want to feel like a super star, then get ready to pose.

The cliché is coming out of my mouth even before I can stop from writing it. “It’s your turn in the spotlight!” Well, that phrase works this time. Not that I plan on putting you in direct spotlights. Seniors, you don’t have to be the same person at your session that you are every other day. Try finding your favorite photos in magazines and advertisements. Why do they grab your attention? Parents of seniors and younger kids, don’t worry. We start the session with more traditional style images and gradually work our way into the creative material so that everyone will have a favorite… or a dozen.

With a new venture comes a new website, new content, contests to win fun sessions and products, referral rewards, and much more. We are in the process of building a portfolio and we would appreciate your help. Right now, we are accepting clients (children, families, and seniors) as “models.” Be a part of our growth into these new groups! Does your family have lots of energy and want to shoot on location? Are you a high school teen graduating in the next 2 years and want something trendy or unique? Hours and number of free sessions in each group are limited, so contact us ASAP to set up a session date. There is no creative fee at this time; we just ask that you purchase the prints that you love, and of course, share them with EVERYBODY.

We spent many years polishing our action photography skills and business profile. Now it’s time to venture forward into something new (but not too much so) to give you a bigger piece of the photography pie. Bon appetit!
