“I can’t believe it’s been a year already!” Kimberly (Theresa’s mommy) and I spent half of this first birthday session talking about the newborn session that couldn’t possibly be a year ago! Here’s a sneak peek of their little doll, Theresa.

E-N-E-R-G-Y These boys were nonstop the whole session… and we LOVE it!!!
Caleb, 1, and Cameron, 3, gave us plenty of action! It reminds me of a program I watched years ago (when our twins were still toddlers) about how active kids are throughout the day. No kidding, professional athletes could not keep up with the kids when asked to mimic every move on a proportionally built indoor playground!! Our P Family boys ran across the open grassy areas, around the pond, over and under a fallen tree, up and down the stone steps, across knee walls, up the “walking trails” (time to rename those!), and climbed on top of the boulders. I’m panting just reading that back!!
Oh, and all that with their mom and dad in tow. Chrissy and Jason smiled and laughed the whole time while chasing and playing with their boys. It was a joy to watch this energetic family spend a perfect winter afternoon together at the park. That’s why some of the photos below are posed and some of the happiest faces came from Mom saying “I’m going to catch you!” or Dad saying “1, 2, 3, ACHOO!” Cameron was convinced that he could make the flash go off by sneezing.![]()
One more thing before you scroll down (except for those of you that already peeked! lol)… Yes, Chrissy does look familiar, even if you can’t figure out where you could have met her before. She is the sister of Cathy in the N Family gallery last May. To top it off, there are four of these beautiful sisters and I’m still looking for the chance to get them all together in one frame some day! [wink, wink]

A quick story. Many years ago, our church youth group took a trip to Colorado. My mom was a chaperone, so that meant she had the pleasure of hiking the steep trails with us youngin. (I’m from Texas and never really get to use that word. hahaha) Near the top, another hiker recognized her t-shirt from a Houston area store and asked, “Where are you from?” That’s right. My mom had to climb to the top of mountain in another state to meet a neighbor a mile from home!
That’s kind of what happened when I met Teresa and Quoc a year ago. We were at the same Christmas party in the museum district and discovered that we live only a few miles from each other and go to the same church. I’m so happy we visited that evening. Thank you, Teresa, for holding onto our number and inviting us to your home recently for this session. It was fun meeting your beautiful family!

This little one will go by Will… well, most of the time! His mom and dad had fun thinking up nicknames before he was even born, like Willdabeast and
Will Power. Love it!! I’m sure we will be trying to think of some more nicknames for Will!
Will was 9 days old at the time of this session in the G Family home (almost two weeks ago.) I wish all of you could meet this amazing family.
For those of us that call them friends, we are blessed. This is their 3rd son. His big brothers are 4 and 2 years old. Their mom posts cutie-patootie photos
of her boys on Facebook. You can feel how much they love each other and know they will always look out for each other.
On to the best part! Yes, we included a bunch of photos, but it was just so hard to pick favorites!![]()
Let’s start with his big brothers. They’re adorable, right?!!

That face makes us laugh every time!!

Pure joy!

Aaawwwww. Sweet boy.

Kisses for Baby Brother

BIG tube sock for a tiny person. Yes, he really is that cool already. “Call me Willdabeast.”

This dog tag and Army jacket belong to Will’s great grandfather.

Perfection.

It’s all in the details.

Never let go.

Peaceful.

I immediately thought of this image in a museum, not only as a print framed on a wall, but as a sculpture on a pedestal.
